Description

Colonies on the substratum superficial, effuse, hairy or velvety, black. Mycelium mostly immersed, composed of branched, septate, smooth, pale brown hyphae. Asexual morph: Conidiophores 90–165 μm long ( = 125 μm, n = 10), 4–7 μm wide ( = 5.5 μm, n=10), macronematous, mononematous, septate, unbranched, single or in groups of 2 or 3, erect, straight or flexuous, smooth, brown, cylindrical, robust at the base. Conidiogenous cells polyblastic, integrated, determinate, terminal, pale brown to brown, cylindrical. Conidia 35–180 μm long ( = 76.3 μm, n=32), 7–11 μm wide ( = 8.6 μm, n=32), acrogenous, dry, oblong, obclavate, cylindrical or rostrate, elongated, straight or curved, truncate at the base, rounded at the apex, 7–27-distoseptate, smooth, greenish black to brown, paler towards the apex, thick-walled. Sexual morph: Undetermined.

 

 

Culture conditions: Colonies on PDA, 20–25 mm diameter after 21 days at 25°C.
